***phenomenal work by Morris County artist Peter Allen at the NJ State Annual***

Posted @withregram • @artsgarageac The next artist in our Arts Annual spotlight is @peter_allen_artwork. He established his own foundry and studio in 1990 and currently hosts MemoryBees, a Zoom drawing group for people with Alzheimer's to explore the connection between memory and visual references. Allen's art portrays the benefits of living in harmony with nature as an alternative to the unsustainable "winner-takes-all" mentality of the post-industrial world. His compositions begin with drawings and photographs of single people relaxing, which he then sculpts into figure combinations that become catalysts for rhythmic, dynamic interplays. Pictured above is work by Peter Allen, Five Couples from the Figures at the Beach

See this year's New Jersey Arts Annual exhibition, “Mother Nature vs Human Nature: The Inequity of Climate Resilience," in two South Jersey locations now through June 24. Artwork from 103 New Jersey artists is on view at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University in Atlantic City and the Noyes Galleries at Stockton University Kramer Hall in Hammonton. This state-wide juried exhibition is sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA). ”
