Jay Webber, a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, posted several updates on his X (formerly Twitter) account between December 4 and December 5, 2025. His posts covered topics ranging from military service to adoption initiatives and state economic policy.
On December 4, Webber highlighted an event at the United States Military Academy at West Point: “Last night was Branch Night at @WestPoint_USMA, when the Class of ’26 learned their Branch assignments in @USArmy. Molly (front left) got her top pick, Adjutant General, which supports soldiers’ well-being & combat-readiness. Proud of you Molly! #TakeTheHill #GoArmy #BeatNavy”
Later that day, he addressed adoption efforts in New Jersey: “Thousands of children in NJ are able to find their forever homes & loving parents thanks to adoption. Our Resolution recognizing that invaluable service is advancing in the Assembly.”
On December 5, Webber questioned state subsidies for corporate entities: “Remind us again why Trenton elites are forcing NJ taxpayers to subsidize @Netflix w/MILLIONS in corporate welfare?”
Branch Night at West Point is an annual tradition where cadets learn which branch of the U.S. Army they will join after graduation. The Adjutant General’s Corps focuses on personnel management and supporting soldier welfare and readiness.
Adoption resolutions such as those referenced by Webber typically aim to recognize National Adoption Month or promote awareness about adoption processes and outcomes for children in foster care.
The reference to Netflix concerns ongoing debates within New Jersey over providing tax incentives or subsidies to attract large corporations and film productions to the state—a policy that has drawn both support for its potential economic benefits and criticism over its impact on taxpayers.
