Cost of college went up for all students at County College of Morris

In-state tuition and fees rose 2.1 percent for 2018-19 at County College of Morris, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New Jersey residents paid $8,760 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $180 more than the $8,580 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 37.7 percent more than residents this year, or $12,060. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 2.3 percent from $11,790 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New Jersey residents.

Data shows 53 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 408 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.2 million and 236 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (7,556), 2,113 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.1 million, and 1,279 students took out $5.4 million in federal student loans.
