Happy Feel Good Friday! Today, we're celebrating, Jorge*, who recently accepted a new job and is working toward his long-term goals.
When Jorge* first came to Our Promise Drop-In Center, he had been living in his car and struggling with his mental health.
Within 24 hours, OP staff connected Jorge to a local health provider, where he received vital care. Upon his return, he felt ready to continue his housing journey with his new support system.
Staff helped Jorge apply for benefits, fill out paperwork for a local shelter program, and offered OP as his mailing address. OP staff described Jorge's “smiling face walking through the door” as a highlight of their day.
Recently, Jorge announced that he secured a job at a local grocery store! He expressed his gratitude for the support OP provided. What an honor it is to help our guests reach their goals!
