There was a single gas station in cities across Morris County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.36 per gallon in the week ending May 4, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of regular gas in cities within Morris County was $3.63 per gallon.

Of the 33 gas stations in cities within Morris County, 23 offer regular gas.

The average price of regular gas in New Jersey was $3.59, compared to $3.57 the week before.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year's end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
