On Sept. 10, the front doors to the Administration and Records Building on Court Street will be closed nightly from 5 to 11 p.m. for about two weeks to accommodate a replacement project. Visitors may still access the building via the courthouse directly across Court Street.

The milling and resurfacing of Green Pond Road in the Townships of Rockaway and Jefferson is scheduled to begin on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024. The project is expected to take one month to complete, with work occurring from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Alternating traffic will be in place throughout the project to safely manage vehicle flow through the construction zone. Signage will be posted in both directions to notify motorists of the roadwork. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The project is being funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Local Aid Program and managed by Morris County. Top Line Construction Corp. has been contracted to complete the work. All construction is expected to be finished by Oct. 25, 2024.

Updates on project progress and traffic adjustments will be posted on the Official Website of Morris County and social media channels (@morriscountynj).
