First Night Morris County is set to return on December 31, offering a substantial New Year's Eve celebration in Morristown, New Jersey. This event promises over 70 performances across 23 venues downtown, along with live stream and on-demand options. More than 30 films will be shown at the Film Festival, and complimentary parking and shuttles will be available from 4:30 PM.
Tickets are priced at $30 for individuals or $23.75 each when purchased as part of a Family 4-Pack ($95 total). They can be bought in advance online or by phone through the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) Box Office, or during the event at designated locations.
This year introduces a historical programming element celebrating America's upcoming 250th Anniversary of independence. Attendees can experience guided tours exploring Revolutionary War history with figures like Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler. "Our 250th is a great opportunity for our county," said Morris County Commissioner Director Christine Myers.
New performers include Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre, Megan Chappius, Gabriel Gonzales, Grover Kemble with Bob Marks, The Outcrops featuring Cassidy Rain and Bryan Schroeder, and The B-Street Band. Macculloch Hall will host three venues including a Thomas Nast Exhibit and performances by The Dolce Trio.
First Night Morris County aims to enhance public appreciation for arts through an accessible New Year’s Eve program. It began in 1992 and attracts about 10,000 participants annually.
