Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon is seeking resumes for the position of county correctional police officers within the Sheriff's Office Bureau of Corrections. This opportunity is available to qualified individuals interested in pursuing careers in New Jersey's criminal justice system.

The Morris County Correctional Facility holds accreditations from both the American Correctional Association and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. It is one of only two jails in New Jersey, and among 145 county jails nationwide, to achieve this status.

Positions are open for transfers from Civil Service, New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC), and Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC). The role provides a competitive starting salary and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

Qualified applicants will be required to enroll in a Police Training Commission Certified Corrections Academy. They must also pass a state-mandated physical conditioning assessment before academy enrollment.

Interested candidates should submit their resumes to Morris County Sheriff's Office Warden Christopher Klein at cklein@co.morris.nj.us.
