Washington, D.C. – On July 14 on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) — a veteran and former Navy helicopter pilot — slammed House Republicans for their partisan amendments in this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which previously passed the House Armed Services Committee with bipartisan support. 

Now, extreme House Republicans have inserted damaging provisions to the bill, including limitations to abortion care, mental health services, diversity efforts, and more.
