Portions of Spring Valley Road and Green Village Road will be closed starting October 14 for a water main replacement project. The affected area spans between Douglas Road in Harding Township and Britten Road in Chatham Township. The project is managed by Montana Construction Company under contract with New Jersey American Water.
The work is expected to conclude by December 6, with operations taking place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project will proceed in four phases, each involving detours. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour signs and consider alternative routes to avoid delays.
Access for residents will be maintained where possible, ensuring safe passage through the work zone. Provisions have been made for postal services, waste collection, emergency services, and medical pick-up and drop-off.
