Morris County honors veterans with distinguished service medals at upcoming ceremony

The Morris County Board of County Commissioners has announced the 2024 Annual Veterans Day Ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday, November 6. The event will honor 13 local veterans with Morris County Distinguished Military Service Medals.

The ceremony is set to recognize the service and sacrifices of these veterans, acknowledging their dedication to the country and contributions to their communities as Veterans Day approaches on November 11. Among those being honored are veterans who served in conflicts as far back as World War II.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. in the Public Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the Morris County Administration & Records Building at 10 Court Street in Morristown. Attendees are advised to arrive by 6:30 p.m. to ensure seating availability. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be accessible through the Morris County Government Facebook page and on the county’s official website.
